Teak dining chair, designed in 1958 by Poul Cadovius and manufactured by Royal Persiennen (CADO) in Denmark. Following the great success of his shelving system, Cadovius ventured into chair design and immediately created an icon — a perfect example of “less is more.” Pia is light and delicate, yet unmistakably present. The ergonomic backrest and finger-jointed connections are noteworthy details, but the tapered rear legs steal the show. They define the chair’s silhouette, bring its function to the fore, and reveal its structure as a shy, previously hidden beauty. In very good condition, with newly woven Danish paper cord seats. Designer / Poul Cadovius. Manufacturer / Royal Persiennen. Model / PIA Period / 1950s. Materials / Teak wood, paper cord, plywood.
