Pair of porcelain dishes – Romantic decor, D&C France

Pair of porcelain plates – Romantic decor, D&C France, late 19th century. Charming pair of porcelain plates with polychrome decoration depicting pastoral and sentimental scenes in the spirit of the 19th century. Each piece features a different scene: – young women in a wooded landscape, evoking a moment of intimacy, – a couple of figures in an intimate and bucolic atmosphere. The decoration is delicately executed, with beautiful work on the trees in shades of brown and ochre, created using the projection technique (known as "au soufflé"), typical of French productions from the late 19th century. The finely painted central scenes add a narrative and poetic touch. Mark on the reverse D&C France. Dimensions: approximately 30 X 22 cm. Period: 19th century. Condition: Good overall condition. Some signs of use and slight wear, visible in the photos, with no cracks or restoration. A decorative pair full of charm, ideal for wall presentation or to complement a collection of antique French porcelain.
