Large Vintage Dining Table 2m. Chevron Inlay

This table is part of a magnificent and rare set of living room furniture dating from the second half of the 20th century (1960s). This set, with its "modernised Louis XVI" aesthetic in the style of Maison Jansen, is a true collector's piece that will fit perfectly into a contemporary interior. The three pieces (Table, Sideboard, and Display Cabinet) have been created in the same vein and share the same aesthetic codes, creating perfect harmony in a dining room or large living area. The exceptional walnut marquetry features a perfectly symmetrical "diamond point" (chevron) pattern, enhanced by elegant light inlays. The doors are also adorned with two round inlays typical of the high-quality cabinetry of the time. The light-coloured top and facades harmonise with the dark wood (ebony or stained mahogany) belts and legs, creating a great visual depth. The fittings (handles and lock entries) are made of chiselled and patinated bronze. The legs are tapered, fluted, and end with moulded brass sabot. 1. Large Dining Table: Length 2m X Width 1m X Height 75.5cm. The oval top is covered with a beautiful light wood veneer (walnut), crafted in a perfectly symmetrical "diamond point" (chevron) pattern. This is delicately highlighted by fine inlaid fillets and two small round inlays typical of fine works from the period. It contrasts with the dark wood (ebony or stained mahogany) belt and legs. The table is equipped with a thick custom-cut glass top to fit the oval shape (visible in the photos). It rests on four tapered and fluted legs, finished with moulded brass sabot, typical of the modernised Louis XVI style. There is a possibility of retractable extensions (system present but extensions not sold with the table).
