Pair of lacquered teak bedside tables retaining the original manufacturer's label. Produced by AB Carlström & Co Möbelfabrik, Sweden, 1950s–60s. Produced in Sweden by AB Carlström & Co Möbelfabrik during the 1950s and 1960s, these bedside tables are built around a simple composition consisting of an upper drawer and a suspended lower shelf. The side panels extend beyond the top to form a continuous outline that defines the silhouette of the piece, while the slightly splayed cylindrical legs give the structure a light appearance. The drawer retains its traditional dovetail joinery, reflecting careful cabinetmaking, and the original manufacturer's label remains preserved inside. Originally made in teak, they are now presented with a white lacquered finish that gives the bedside tables a cleaner, more contemporary character while enhancing the balance of their proportions and the clarity of their lines.
