Large presentation plate in porcelain, decorated with "The Treasures of the Sea" designed by Gianni Versace for the German manufacturer Rosenthal (collection launched in 1994). A richly baroque decoration: at the centre, a bowl formed by two nautilus shells overflowing with red coral, pearls, and shells, supported by two golden mermaids. All around, a cartouche of golden scrolls, tritons, starfish, and a profusion of polychrome shells, all set against a turquoise background framed by an ultramarine blue rim and a golden Greek frieze on the edge. Black and gold stamp with the head of Medusa on the reverse, with the mention "The Treasures of the Sea". Rosenthal control sticker of origin ("Kontrollstelle 3") still present. The plate is equipped on the back with a wooden plaque and golden hook for wall hanging. It can also be displayed on an easel (not included) or used as a presentation plate at the table. A spectacular piece, both a collector's item and a true wall painting, ideal for a Mediterranean or maximalist ambiance. Dimensions. Diameter: 31 cm. Material. Porcelain. Era. 1990s. Condition. Very good vintage condition. Bright colours and clear gilding, with no visible chips or cracks. A wooden hanging plaque has been attached to the reverse by a previous owner.
