Two Italian folding chairs from the 1970s, in the style of caned chairs that have brought the Cesca chair to where it is today. Contrary to their appearance (backrest), they are comfortable, and your host has rehydrated and oiled their original caning. Caning is like your skin; it needs maintenance to prevent it from drying out too much. There are a few scratches and small dents, but if you didn't want that, you should either look for new furniture or not insist on vintage unless you have the means and luck to find only pristine models... which are becoming increasingly rare because buyers willing to pay the price are abroad! In short, a version of a caned chair that steps away from the damned Breuer! ;) and has a very airy elegance. Structurally flawless. Height: 79.5 cm. Width: 49 cm. Depth: 39 cm. Seat height: 44 cm. The photos are unretouched and taken in natural sunlight and/or shade to best represent the colour. Please note that colour perception is subjective. The deliberate choice of natural lighting is ZAFF_vintage's intention to show the light effects according to the exposures with complete transparency and neutrality. Buying vintage or second-hand is participating in a unique development and accepting to live differently... and it is often a good investment.
