Great Library MD

The MD brand is a French brand from the 1920s. It invented and marketed a completely new concept of high-end modular furniture in the early 1970s. Made entirely of solid wood, all finishes are possible, from light waxed oak to lacquered rosewood. An authentic modular library, model "Le Mobilier Composable". This iconic piece from the 1960s offers a sleek design and great functionality. This set consists of 8 glass-fronted units (bevelled glass), 4 closed units (with different interior arrangements (photos available if needed...), 4 drawers, and 4 rounded library shelves, plus all the caps and plates used to link the modules together. All units are fully modular and can form one or more sets of furniture. 3 of the glass-fronted libraries have locks. All doors and drawers have brass handles. Each unit measures: Width 80 x Height 52 x Depth 37 Each drawer measures: Width 80 x Height 14 x Depth 37 The total measurement indicated in the Dimensions tab accounts for a linear arrangement, which does not correspond to the photos. More precise measurements can be made if necessary. All furniture is authenticated by Martin Dupuis. The original manual is available. The set was purchased new in the early 1960s.
