Ceiling suspension from the early 20th century known as "rise and fall". White opaline lampshade. This original ceiling light was used from the beginnings of domestic electrification until the 1950s-60s, it had its place above the table, and it was lowered or raised according to needs: for dining, the lamp was lowered, for more general lighting, the lamp was raised. The porcelain counterweight is adjusted according to the weight of the lampshade by adding more or less metal filings or shavings inside it.
