High Victorian leather tête-à-tête canapé with a walnut burr chessboard.

Canapé Conversation Teta a Teta style William IV, mahogany frame, brown leather upholstery with a Burr walnut chessboard, circa 1860-1880. This unique sofa features a removable Burr walnut chessboard, two large drawers, and a detachable brass support. The leather has been fully restored, hand-dyed six times, aged, sealed, waxed, and polished for an exclusive finish. The chessboard has also been restored using traditional French techniques and shows period patina. The chess set visible in the photos is not included. Dimensions: Height 86 cm, Width 180 cm, Depth 76 cm, Seat height 46 cm. Condition: Good condition with wear consistent with age and use.
