Space Age Atomic Pod Lounge Armchair with Black Bovine Leather by Dux, Sweden, 1960s

The manufacturer of the fiberglass pod chair is dux sweden. Dux is known for bruno mathsson's karin and pernilla armchairs. The bathtub is made of fiberglass and finished in off-white. First, we replaced the foam with new foam, which extends to the edge of the chair. We chose to reupholster the lounge chair with black leather. For the leather, we opted for black bovine leather, which was dyed in the mass, so that the inside of the leather has the same color as the outside of the leather. Because we used bovine leather, the quality of this leather is guaranteed. There is a removable cushion in the armchair, this cushion has been provided with a new cover of the same black leather with a zipper. We have attached a non-slip fabric inside, so that the cushion does not slip from the chair in a sitting position, but also to protect the leather. I found an identical chair on the internet (photo 8) and it is labeled (photo 9) with the dux label, so we know that the chair we offer is an armchair from dux sweden. Note: our chair does not have a dux label.
