Charming antique fine earthenware plate from the Lunéville factory, decorated with a hand-painted floral bouquet in a naturalistic style typical of the mid-19th century. A small stylized insect, delicately placed on the rim, completes the scene in the spirit of the so-called "insect" services, very popular under Louis-Philippe and Napoleon III. The palette mixes carmine red, almond green, blue, buttercup yellow and touches of black, with beautiful finesse in the lines and a red line highlighting the gadrooned edge. Stamped with the crowned coat of arms of Lunéville (mark in use around 1836–1860). Diameter 22 cm. Good overall condition, beautiful old patina, network of age-related cracks in the glaze (typical), some stains and wear from use without cracks or chips. For an old-fashioned bucolic table, mixed with other flowery earthenware.
