Painted iron display stand, Italy, 1960s.

This display from the 1960s was used in a newsstand at Milan Central Station to showcase magazines and newspapers. The structure consists of slanted compartments with parallel shelves, specially designed to present magazines face-on and maximise visibility. The sturdy metal frame is mounted on wheels, making it easy to move. It is equipped with a metal curtain for night closure as well as an integrated lighting system, fully rewired. The metal curtain has been partially restored. We chose to preserve the original cream-coloured paint. The structure is in perfect condition; the paint has some minor missing areas, but there are no signs of rust. This piece of furniture is ideal as a display for vinyl records or as a decorative element for shops, cafés, or other commercial spaces.
