A unique and sculptural piece, this large brutalist sideboard from the 60s/70s is attributed to the belgian designer berquin. Made of wood, it features front panels decorated with stylized tribal motifs, engraved and inlaid, typical of the brutalist aesthetic and the influence of african art on belgian furniture of this period. Its generous dimensions (h.86 X w.200 X d.45 cm) make it a piece of furniture with character, perfect for an eclectic interior, a mid-century modern atmosphere or a 20th century design collection. Very good overall vintage condition, with a beautiful patina of the wood. This unique piece of furniture has lived and shows some signs of use consistent with its age (lighter stains, some chips, missing key and a hole has been drilled in the back).
