Louis XV jump commode in marquetry and marble

Louis XV style commode with three drawers, topped with a thick moulded marble surface in warm, veined tones. Dressed in refined marquetry with contrasting wood patterns and enhanced with chiselled bronze fittings, it embodies all the refinement of classic cabinetmaking. Its compact proportions and curved silhouette make it an ideal character piece to warm up an entrance or add a touch of timeless elegance to a living room. Condition: The piece is stable and functional, with drawers that slide properly. The marble top has been carefully re-glued in two places, and there are a few discreet missing nails on the handles. The wood retains a beautiful patina of use with slight variations consistent with its age, which testify to its authenticity without detracting from its overall appearance.
