Set of 7 Baccarat Houdon crystal knife holders

Set of 7 crystal knife holders, from baccarat, dating from the 19th century. This is the 'sulking children' model after the sculpture by jean-antoine houdon (1741-1828), listed in the baccarat catalogs of the 19th century. Pressed cast crystal. This 19th century model has never been signed with the baccarat stamp. In the 19th century, baccarat did not sign its pieces, but stuck a paper label on them. The knife holders are double cherub busts, in frosted crystal, as opposed to the central bar in polished crystal. In very good condition with some tiny traces of use. For pretty tables...to offer or to treat yourself... Length: 9.5 cm height: 4.5 cm.
