Four brutalist wood and rope chairs, circa 1960 a set of four rope and wood dining chairs. Fabulous modernist design and high quality craftsmanship incorporating the use of organic materials, to produce these iconic french, coastal and rustic style seats. The backs and seats are woven into ropes and rest on round solid wood frames tapering to points on the upper part of the back. The whole is in good condition, healthy and solid, with a beautiful age-related patina. Each chair has different proportions which proves that it is not machined work.
