A beautiful "Serpente" table lamp designed by Elio Martinelli and manufactured by Martinelli Luce in Italy in the 1970s. This iconic lamp has a highly recognizable style, featuring a white tubular metal frame with a large, round white plexiglass shade. The name "Serpente" means snake in Italian, referring to the curved shape of the base, which can be adjusted to different positions as shown in the photos. The shade gently diffuses the light, creating a lovely ambiance when lit, radiating warmth and adding to the lamp's aesthetic appeal. A true mid-century design icon! It remains in very good vintage condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use, retaining a beautiful patina.
