Uncommon small handmade chessboard in coral marble and black marble. Italy. Second half of the twentieth century. This object is not a standardized industrial production. It is a creation of folk art. The top and solid marble pieces were handmade, so each is unique. The top consists of marble slabs assembled on a hard stone support with solid black marble edges. Brown felt on the back. The whole is in perfect condition, free of major accident. Note only a few minor pocs on three of the pieces as well as another on an angle of the tray. ( see latest photos ) Impeccable for everything else. Bright marble. Size: Top: 20 cm X 20 cm X 1 cm. Room height: king: 4 cm. Queen: 3.5 cm. Tower, rider and fool: 3 cm. Pawns: 2.5 cm.
