Italian adjustable arc lamp by novecento, 1980s

A large, solid wood arc floor lamp was designed and made sometime in the 1980s in Italy. The old shade was replaced by a hand-woven cotton shade. The overall size is H: 170 / W: 160 / D: 60 cm. This aesthetic finds affinity with renowned designers such as Carlo Mollino, Gio Ponti, Ico Parisi, Max Ingrand, and Angelo Lelii, who also embraced the organic design philosophy. It is a later version of that design, most likely from the 1980s or early 1990s. A unique feature of this lamp is the possibility of adjusting the height of the light by a stylish brass clamp in the middle of the arm. The shade is handmade of cotton strips wrapped around a metal frame. This lamp would become a focal point in every contemporary room. There is manufacture engraving on the bottom with the brand name Novecento. Additional information: The lampshade size is 16 cm in height and 60 cm in diameter, The cord length is 250 cm, The switch is 100 cm from the base, The base diameter is 38 cm, It requires E27 bulb. The lamp has been restored. The wood has been professionally rejuvenated, but it bears some minimal signs of use. The original switch and cord have been checked. The large cotton shade is new and fully handmade. Overall, it remains in great condition.
