English furniture in solid mahogany called "music chest" (Mahogany music chest), late 19th early 20th century. With its elegant and understated shape, in contrast to the Chippendale style of the feet and its straight lines, it is an extra piece of furniture that is both aesthetic ally and utilitarian, which can be used as a bedside as a storage document. A healthy piece of furniture, fully cleaned, waxed, with handles and swivel mechanisms of brass and original facades, in perfect working condition and patented from the famous brand "Stone's ", a British house then known for the manufacture of furniture combining quality, simplicity, aesthetics and utility. Note that only 2 screws are not original. Perfectly united assemblies for a stable and robust structure. Some traces of time and signs of use. Many warm shades in the wood: the furniture was originally to be covered with a dark lacquer made from gum arabic, used during this period in the land of Albion. Inside, there are several handwritten signatures by at least two cabinetmakers (see photos). Don't hesitate to ask me all your questions from Selency's chat.
