Mid century table lamp By Stepan Tabera

The shape and design of this table lamp is instantly recognisable as a 60s classic in Czechoslovakia. It was designed by Stepan Tabera and produced by OPP Jihlava in Czechoslovakia, it is known as Type M 2/4. This lamp is a bold statement piece. The bulbous shape consists of two handblown layers of a glass - a white layer inside and blood orange on the outside. There is a brass part that forms the base of the lamp which works brilliantly with the blood orange colour of the glass. This piece is truly a combination of a great design and craftsmanship. It demonstrates the highly skilled tradition of Czech glass/lighting design. The lamp is in great vintage condition. There is no damage on the glass. The brass base shows some natural wear and tear according to its age. All parts are original and fully functional.
