Description
Sofa model marsala by michel ducaroy published by ligne roset vintage 1970's. (french designer. Born in lyon in 1925, after graduating from the école nationale supérieure des beaux-arts (sculpture section) in his hometown, joined the family business. In 1954, he joined the seat manufacturer roset in briord (ain), where he headed the design department throughout his career. He takes advantage of the new materials of the 1960s and 1970s (foam, wadding, thermoformed plastic). He published seats that were a great success, such as adria (1968), the first composable living room with a seat near the floor. Kashima, kufra, safi or kali will follow, then togo and marsala.
