Armchairs by Koene Oberman for Gelderland 1950. Koene Oberman was not only a designer he was also the founder of gelderland. In the 1950s he set the company in a modern direction. Himself he designed only a couple of pieces for a short period of time. After that he attracted other designers, like rob parry, to work for gelderland. The chairs are newly upholstered with high quality kvadrat sunniva (designed by raf simons) cream/green blended wool fabric. Also the padded foam and the singles are renewed. They have a beautiful bent steel frame. Very comfortable seating on these ones. One chair has some wear on the legs, besides that they are in very good condition.
