Description
Vase by lucien bridoux. Lucien brisdoux (1878-1963) - france. He took over from his father achilles in 1905, then in 1927 he set up his own workshop, supported by a single collaborator, fernand laurent (1885-1946). His production was then exclusively devoted to sunken decorative sandstone, despite his turning skills, and he therefore concentrated his research on numerous land trials and glazes, including raoul lachenal in 1924-1925, or lucien arnaud in 1930s. He liked metallescent enamels (gold or platinum) with pouring effects obtained by projection of creosote, after application of ceramic gold, but abandoned this technique in 1940 for economic reasons. He sold his business on june 1, 1956.
