Pair vases amphorae Napoleon III brass

Pair of brass amphorae vases on Piers Napoleon III era, ultra decorative, clearly evoking the taste of the 19th century for the pomp of antiquity. Amphoras belted with a frieze of fruit and foliage framed on either side by a frieze of ribboned sticks. Bronze anses carved into braces. Lower part of the body flamed and junction with the pedestal by a tin brazing. Under the base, mention in the font Paris S1 42. Dimensions (cm): Base diameter 9.5 X P15 X H34 . Net weight: 1,430kg.
