Mid-century modern swedish "alabaster", abstract framed oil painting

Alabaster. Size: 25.5 X 27 cm (including frame) Oil on canvas. A small but very visually pleasing mid century abstract composition in oil, painted onto canvas. Using a careful selection of pastel colours, the subtle palette is delightfully calming. The small size of the painting draws our eyes in, encouraging us to study the tonal gradations in the colours, as well as enjoy the various textures of the creamy paint. This oil on canvas is housed in a painted wooden frame, the colour of which complements the painting perfectly. There is some light craquelure present to the painting, due to the age and thickness of the paint application, but the paint layer is very stable. Overall the painting and frame are in very good vintage condition.
