Otto Zapf sofalette leather lounge chair set 2 seater

This as 2 seater created modul set from the sofalette series of otto zapf was designed by him in the 70s. The black leather of the lounge chair moduls shows a fantastic patina in some areas and comes in a good condition. As base the chairs have fiberglas shells which are in an age-appropriate condition. No cracks, just some chips which are nearly not visible. The moduls were desigend as a 2 seater but can also be used as single lounge chairs. Otto zapf founded together with niels vitsoe in 1958 the company vitsoe+zapf and ccoperated also with dieter rams. In 1969 otto zapf left the company and designed in 1970 the softline system which was a huge success. After that zapf worked for knoll int. And his designs were manufactured from knoll, b&b italia etc.
