AKARI floor lamp by Isamu Noguchi

Akari floor lamp model 10a by isamu noguchi. Japanese design invites itself into the shop! This floor lamp with a fine and elegant line remains a design classic since the 50s. The model I propose is about 30 years old. It was therefore not published by vitra, which took up the torch a little later. Noguchi's lamps were painstakingly handcrafted in the ozeki factory in japan. The shoji paper lampshade, taken from the bark of the mulberry tree, is cut into strips adapted to the size and shape of the lamp, and then glued to the structure. These lamps have been perfectly designed for shipping or storage, they are packed in flat boxes specifically designed for this purpose. The floor lamp works with 1 e27 screw bulb. Switch on drawer. Size: Height 120cm. Diameter lampshade 53cm. Width from feet to bottom 65cm.
