Vertebra armchair by Castelli

The vertebra armchair was designed by emilio ambasz and giancarlo piretti for anonima castelli in 1976. A rare example of ergonomic solution for seating. The first automatically adjustable office chair, designed to respond and adapt to the movements of the user's body. The vertebra system slides the seat and tilts the back of the chair by a simple pressure of the back providing maximum comfort. 1977 id award for excellence of design. 1979 smau industrial design award. 1981 compasso d'oro award. Very beautiful petrol blue chairs, they can be used as office or dining chairs, in a vintage, classic or modern space. Very good condition, few traces of use, a few small, discrete marks (see photos).
