Pair of shelves of Marcel Gascoin edition ARHEC original oak 1950

A pair of shelves by Marcel Gascoin published by ARHEC in 1950. solid clear oak waxed, good original condition. One has two drawers. Nearby model first presented in the UAM pavilion at the 1937 International Exhibition. Playing on the multiple possibilities of layout, Marcel Gascoin sets up a modular wall storage system where you can place simple shelves, doubles, drawers etc. Mounted on racks the shelves or lockers can be installed at different heights depending on the needs of the user. This system also allows you to be equipped with successive purchases. The combinations of wall shelves are present in all apartments equipped by Marcel Gascoin, including those made in collaboration with Marcel Lods (Sotteville-lès-Rouen, Fontainebleau).
