The pot is in very good condition, no accidents. It is made of beige stoneware, was turned by a potter, then enamelled afterwards, with a beautiful creamy white enamel slightly grayed. The piece, of beautiful craftsmanship, is heavy. It has thick edges, and has a generous beak, as well as two side handles. Enamel is present inside and outside the pot, which was necessary, since this type of pottery was intended for the preservation and fermentation of foodstuffs. The coin is marked with the hallmark of the duborjal-paris factory, whose parent company was in the marais, and a number 4, hollow above the hallmark indicates its capacity in liters. Note a small impact on the reverse, as well as a manufacturing defect at the edge of the base, visible in the photos. Very beautiful piece, of generous proportions, from the late nineteenth.
