Pair of sconces frosted glass 30/40 years

It is a pair of appliques found in an art ironworks workshop that closed 50 years ago. The appliques are protected in a cardboard stamped cartonnerie bouillerot in choisy the king. The telephone number of the cardboard box on the cardboard is beautiful thorn 02-98. After some research this suburban telephone exchange opened 1938 and closed 1944. The appliques conditioned in the carton must date from this period. The appliques are in good condition. Corrosion marks on the aluminum in the support have been cleaned and stabilized. These traces bring a certain patina to the appliques. Important clarification: the appliques are not electrified but I sold the same pair a few months ago and I had realized the electrification myself. This is very simple since the supports of the frosted glass are equipped with a screw adapted to the size of a current socket. All you need is a socket, a light bulb and electrical wire. The electrical wire can be hidden entirely and will connect into the wall electrical arrival. This pair of appliques will look great in a bathroom, surrounding a pretty mirror, in a hallway, or in headboard applique. Important clarification: one of the two glass tubes has a hole the size of a pinhead that does not weaken the whole. This hole seems to be original as there are no cracks around it. If the hole bothers you just have to position it on the wall side. You will find that the two frosted glass tubes are protected by old newspaper. I searched the newspaper but unfortunately no date. Finally, the best would be to pick them up on the spot (strasbourg) because it is necessarily fragile (frosted glass). Otherwise I will protect as best I can but will not be able to accompany the delivery man to your home!.
