Eight plates iron earth thomassin frères late nineteenth

The plates are in good condition. No accidents, no splinters. Two of them have a hair of a few centimeters, starting from the edge of tuesday, but not crossing, this can only be seen on the back of the plate. The plates are old, they date from the second half of the nineteenth century and are very slightly earthenware, two of them are a little more yellowed than the others. A defect on one of the outer edges of one of them, but under enamel... It is therefore not a splinter, but simply a manufacturing defect. The plates were turned before being enamelled, and it is not uncommon to encounter this type of defects on old dishes. The email on the bottom of the plates, at the level of the basin, is marked with slight traces of use, which can be seen by tilting the plate and looking at it in shaving light. However, nothing very important, and they are in good condition, for plates of that time. Some are whiter than others. All these small imperfections bring a crazy chame to this old tableware of very beautiful workmanship, with the pretty rosehip pattern in blue bouquets. The plates are all marked on the reverse with the stamp of the brand of the earthenware, it is the house thomassin frères. Traditional french production, witness of the formidable know-how of the country in this area, with the outdated grace. The plates are flat, and the outer edge of the marli is slightly twisted.
