Superb three-part wrought iron screen/room splitter with a magnificent décor of flowers and ornamental leaves, attributed to the famous french decorator and master wrought iron designer, gilbert poillerat. Although this piece is not signed, the influence of poillerat is present in the overall fluidity of arabesque forms, volutes, juxtaposed with beautiful water leaves, acanthus leaves and peony-like flowers, all tinged with a beautiful golden patina of time, which sparkles against turquoise -gray green frame and brownish patina of swirling shapes and graceful winged motifs in the shape of heart. This room is really in a beautiful condition for its age. There are signs of age and use proportionate to time and a magnificent patina of time on the body, flowers, leaves and other decorative forms, which only make it even more beautiful (see photos.). The room has been partially restored from its original condition. It has been cleaned and treated to prevent and protect against future corrosion and has a glossy shine/finish that makes the colors of the original patina all the more beautiful. The delicate leaves and flowers that adorn the screens have only been waxed and unpainted, also respecting the original patina. A truly timeless and spectacular functional work of art, which will shine, whether it is presented in a living room or living room, or outside in a garden space. Unfolded width 150 cm, folded width 50 cm.
