Description
First art, pre-columbian. Ancient vase that presents three feet "coffee beans" hollowed out above which are represented three characters with different expressions. The feet are hollow with a slit and contain clay balls acting as bells or bells. Coming from central america this terracotta vase probably represents a ceremonial urn. Representative of the nicoya culture (1000-1500 ad) which was located in the middle of the guanacaste peninsula in the west of present-day costa rica. Period: not appraised. Dimensions: height 17 cm, width 15 cm. Good condition.
