Provided with a certificate of provenance from an independent expert. Rarer than white masks, the black masks of the punu (ikwara) symbolize the judicial force, the fight against witchcraft, the making of difficult decisions. The dark dye gives a special character to the female face, imbued with serenity and mystery. Head in a single lobe accompanied by small side mats. The presence of coloured pigments. Superb old patina.
