Bentwood rocking chair from Ton, 1960s, Czecoslovakia

Great quality rocking chair made from bentwood produced by the ton company in the 1960s. Ton was a trade name for thonet in the former czecoslovakia after the company was nationalized following the second world war. The company located in bystřice was the original thonet company, the quality of its bentwood crafstsmenship continued for decades even after the ton trademark. This particular design was awarded at the expo in 1958. The chair is in great original condition with some minor wear on the wood and upholstery. The varnish is original. Please ask for quotation if you wish new upholstery. Seat height 42cm.
