Brown glazed confit pot

Old pot with confit varnished brown large model/fat pot /terracotta /vintage. This is a french antique. Confit traditional pot from the 19th century.vernissé brown terracotta color particular to the southwestern region of france, on the border of the pyrenees franco - spanish. This pot is authentic you can see on the photos the enamel is cracked but there is no crack. This traditional rustic pot can be used as a flower pot or for interior decoration. In the past, these jars were used to store meats such as duck, chicken and pork. The meat, especially the duck, was cooked in its fat and then put in these jars. Height: 32 cm. Diameter 25 cm.
