Gilded wooden marquise sofa

Rare 2-seater sofa called napoleon III era "marquise, " made of gilded moulded wood with gold leaf and trimmed with floral velvet. Around 1860. Sculpted motifs of acanthus leaves, shells and cartridges. The 4 feet in volutes rest on wheels. A few small traces of wear on the gilding, which gives this old and authentic look sought after. Very good seating and stability. Good condition.
