“śnieżka” armchair from 1960s

Śnieżka-type armchair was produced in the 1970s and 1980s at the starachowice wood industry enterprise. The first copies hit stores in 1973. The śnieżka armchair is one of the variants of the popular lisk (type 300-190). Liska’s turned legs in the śnieżka model were replaced with angular elements, which favored the acceleration of the production process and reduction of material losses and, consequently, lowering the price of the product. The armchair has undergone a comprehensive carpentry and upholstery renovation. Wooden elements made of beech wood have been cleaned of the old varnish coating. To give the furniture a modern character, the wood was lightened and protected with a colorless, mat varnish. Sponges and upholstery strips were replaced and covered with a modern velor fabric in a fashionable color.
