"Copenhague" chair by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec

This copenhagen chair in perfect summer was created by ronan and erwan bouroullec and is part of a line of furniture destined for the university of copenhagen (its design reminds us of the shape of an open book...). It was then part of a full-fledged collection of the hay store in 2015, which still includes an office and tables for sale. The chair however is no longer published today. For the seat, the bouroullec brothers have been able to combine their creativity with scandinavian simplicity: the natural solid oak structure of the copenhagen chair is finely designed with slender lines, while the seat is divided into two parts in which the footing cleverly fits. From a dining table to an office area, the copenhagen chair is just waiting to integrate into the most diverse worlds, its simplicity allows it. About the designers, Brothers ronan and erwan bouroullec were born in quimper in the 1970s. After studying for one at the national graduate school of decorative arts in paris and for the other at the national graduate school of arts in cergy-pontoise, they founded their design studio together in 1999. Their creation is very diverse: small objects, industrial design, drawing, video, photography, crockery, jewelry, space design and architecture... The bouroullec brothers work for the biggest designer furniture brands: vitra, artek, magis, kartell, established and sons, ligne roset, habitat, alessi, issey miyake, cappellini, flos, hay, glas italia, nanimarquina etc... Recently, they actively participated in the renovation project of the paris stock exchange - pinault collection, which is scheduled to open at the end of may 2021.
