Paris photography in 1965 rue du louvre nuit 1

This image is part of a collection of photographs of the streets of Paris taken in 1965 by a modern atget. They show a raw decor, without picturesque or human presence except a few shadows. The photographer, a professional visibly, installed on the platform of a truck photographed from the middle of the roadway, hence these escapes and at night, these alignments of lights. For each view there is a daytime version and a night version. This is the Paris of the films of the new wave, of Cleo from 5 to 7, of a woman is a woman or of the 400 hits and the setting of the novels of Patrick Modiano. It is assumed that this is a commission for an urban planning project. Each photograph mentions the street name in a transparent cartridge. In perfect condition, these vintage silver prints are 18 × 24 cm in a 30 × 40 cm black tinted wooden frame.
