Rattan travel trunk number 83

Large rattan travel trunk with wooden structure. The wooden sleepers above and below the trunk protected it when moving and give it even more character. Four ropes to the right and left of the trunk make it easy to lift. The trunk is from the early 20th century. It is in good condition for its age, only weakness of the holes of vrillettes and a few strands of rattan at the back weakened by vrillettes (see photo). No weakness in its strength, you can use it and move it at will. Under the jute, a period foam insulation. The numbered plate at the front, original, gives it a real authenticity, it is a decorative room of character, ideal in a country house to hide linen in beauty for example.
