Mid-century danish teak desk by Svend Aage Madsen for Sigurd Hansen, 1950s

This teak desk was designed in the 1950s by Svend Aage Madsen for Sigurd Hanse. It features a curved top with a bevelled rear and side edges. Below there are six drawers with orange slice handles, and on the rear are two storage compartments and a curved shelf section. The right section has two maple drawers, and the left has glass shelves. In the center sits a bookshelf. The teak frame base supports both the drawer sections and table top giving the desk a floating appearance. Condition: desk is in an exceptional condition. Apart from a few minor age related marks the desk is in great shape for its vintage. Top-plate has been re-finished.
