Pair of Hollywood Regency USA 1980's

Rare pair of hollywood regency style articulated table or desk lamps dating back to the late 1980s. The lamps are made of gilded metal (some parts brass and others metal). Very rare to find because they are intended for the american market (the sockets are also usa sockets equipped with adapters); the explanation for the presence of these lamps in europe could be the presence in belgium of the headquarters of the shape (supreme headquarters allied powers europe), a nato base, with the presence of international personnel, mostly american. The turnover of these staff meant that these people organized a flea market regularly to sell what they did not want to take home...clean with traces of tarnishing and use on the golden parts (but nothing very serious) and functional. Manufactured in taiwan for the usa by dynasty classics corp. There is a sticker under one of the bases; also presence of stickers of the control and certification company us underwriters laboratories. These lamps have e27 sockets and, according to the sticker present on the socket, are intended for bulbs "type a - 3 way of 150w (3-way bulbs are bulbs with 3 levels of brightness while a standard bulb has only one level of brightness)... These bulbs are obsolete today because of their excessive consumption but nevertheless available online. I installed simple standard 25w bulbs and that's enough; for those who would like a brighter light, I recommend led bulbs from 5w to 7max. Note that putting on standard bulbs means that you have to turn the switch 2 times to close or turn on the lamp, which is normal. Dimensions: height with lampshade 44cm -- base diameter 20cm -- max diameter lampshade 25cm -- weight 1.9 kg per piece.
