Pirkka Coffee Table by Ilmari Tapiovaara for Laukaan Puu 1955

Charming coffee table from the pirkka series, designed by ilmari tapiovaara in 1955 for laukaan puu, finland. The coffee table is marked with the original brand underneath the top. It has a solid pine top, which consist of 3 parts nicely connected by dowels and is supported by 2 black lacquered rectangular wooden blocks. This beautiful coffee table in japanese style is quite rare and not offered a lot. The table is in good condition. The top is refinished and is excellent. The black base has some traces of wear.
