Description
Porcelain cup, of a deep blue called 'de sèvres', with in its center a large transverse frieze formed by inlays of gilded nets, particularly fine, and enamel decorations. These white stones are also found in the petals of flowers drawn on both sides of this frieze. This cup, with a flat bottom and flared neck, offers a chantourné perimeter, on which we guess a golden border blurred by its 150 years of history. It is encased by two ornate handles, themselves fixed on a round frame with openwork gallery. The whole rests on three metal legs shaped into mascarons. This structure initially cut golden in its entirety has gaps in some areas. Note that this cup is marked 'lunéville' under its base, famous faïencerie lorraine founded in 1730. ******** Period: 2nd part of the nineteenth. Size: Diameter: 30 cm height: 17.5 cm. Ref: 250919.
