Coffee Table with Ice Tray / Dry Bar by Giovanni Offredi for Saporiti Italia, ca 1970

Black lacquered coffee / coffee table, square shape, incorporating an ice tray / dry bar or a removable stainless steel storage area (for easy cleaning). Designed by the italian designer giovanni offredi, model "tebe" edited in the years 1970/80s by the italian publishing house saporiti italia, guarantee of quality. Very good condition, traces of normal wear due to time. We note a slight wear a little more marked (see the last 2 photos 'red arrow') but it remains very light... Biography: "beauty should not be confused with appearance, for the latter is only the superficial part of form" (giovanni offredi) Giovanni offredi (milan 1927 - 2007) is an italian designer active in milan in the second half of the 20th century, collected and prized today. His achievements are minimalist and elegant, well in the taste of the time. In 1970, he joined forces with sergio saporiti and together created the publishing house "saporiti italia". This partnership will publish and produce hyper qualitative and innovative furniture, not without resembling the design of willy rizzo very active at the time... It is a significant global commercial success. Let us note among others at saporiti, the paracarro table (1970), the sail chair (1973); the wave dining chairs (1974), the wave sofa and armchair (1975) or the p600 and p650 oval elliptical tables...
