Valerio adami is an italian painter born in 1935 and especially famous in france for his main painting themes (literature, travels links poet-painting), his close links with the avant-garde (expressionism, new figuration) and his flat areas with acid colors and his forms surrounded by black. Adami is also known for his large-scale murals (such as the foyer-bar of the théâtre du châtelet in 1989).
