Modernist oil landscape by the well-known swedish painter eric lo ohlqvist (1914-2004), also known as eric loo. Oil painting on canvas from the 1960s. Signed in the lower right corner. In an original period setting. Eric lo leifon ohlqvist (september 24, 1914 – july 25, 2004) was a swedish painter. He was the son of the painter edvin ohlqvist and olga widlund and from 1945 married to maj-britt ohlqvist née davidsson and brother of magne ohlqvist. He studied at the académie de la grande chaumière in 1950 and at the académie ranson from 1951 to 1952 and during study trips to spain, italy, africa and the nordic countries. Separately, he exhibited in kristianstad, gothenburg, borås and örebro. His art consists of still lifes, figures and landscapes in oil, pastel or gouache. He signed his works with erik lo. Ohlqvist is represented at the senate of washington and the brooklyn seamen's house.
